Account & Data Deletion Request

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. This page explains the steps and the data removed as part of our commitment to Google Play's Data Safety policy.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete My Account.
  3. Confirm the deletion on the prompt. We will first delete your Firestore data, then your Firebase Authentication account.

If you cannot access the app, request deletion via email (see below). We will verify ownership and process the deletion promptly.

What gets deleted

  • Authentication: Your Firebase Authentication account (email and provider links).
  • Firestore data: All documents under users/{uid}/expenses/{expenseId} (and user root document).

Retention period

We retain your data for 0 days. Data is deleted immediately after the request is confirmed.

Request deletion by email

If you prefer email, contact us at billbuddy87@gmail.com with the subject "Account & Data Deletion" from your registered email address. Include your name and a brief note. We will confirm deletion once completed.

Compliance

Our app implements an in-app deletion flow and a server-side cleanup via Firebase Cloud Functions that deletes Firestore user data when an account is removed. This ensures account and data deletion even if deletion is initiated outside the app.
